Over 200 former Clarendon Lions/Yellow Jackets and Holly Grove Panthers from graduating years 1954 to 2018 attended the 2nd Annual Clarendon High School/Holly Grove High School Alumni Dinner and Auction.  The event was held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Clarendon Executive Hall and was catered by Adams Catfish Express and Catering.  Multiple businesses and individuals throughout Monroe, Phillips, Prairie, and Arkansas Counties donated goods and services for a silent auction.   Johnny Ellis, CHS Class of 1972, and voice of the Lions introduced his childhood friend, J.B. Grimes, as the guest speaker. Grimes, a CHS Class of 1973 Alumnus and offensive line coach for the Auburn Tigers, entertained the crowd with memories from the past, his experience coaching college football, and offered encouragement for the younger generations.  “It has been amazing the response we have received. This event has grown from a little over 70 in attendance last year to well over 200 this year,” Coach Dusty Meek, CHS Principal explained. “We look forward to next year being able to host the event on campus in our new arena.”
